Swedish Consumer Sentiment Falls in November
The consumer confidence indicator in Sweden dropped to 91.9 in November 2019 from 92.7 in the previous month. The latest reading continued to point to a weak mood among households, mainly explained by unusually pessimistic expectations of how the Swedish economy will develop in the coming year.

Swedish Consumer Confidence Strengthens
Consumer confidence in Sweden rose to 92.7 in October of 2019 from a downwardly revised 90.1 in the previous month, as expectations improved regarding the financial situation of the household in the year ahead (20 from 15 in September) and savings propensity went up (59 from 56). Also, concerns over unemployment eased somewhat (45 from 46). Meanwhile, consumers remained pessimist about the outlook for the economy (at -31).

Sweden Consumer Morale at Over 5-Year Low
Consumer confidence in Sweden fell to 90.6 in September of 2019 from a downwardly revised 93.3 in the previous month and well below market expectations of 94.2. It was the lowest reading since December 2013, as consumers were pessimistic about the outlook for the Swedish economy over the next 12 months (-31 from -28 in August) and the financial situation of the household in the year ahead (16 from 17). Also, sentiment deteriorated regarding unemployment levels (46 from 28); prospects for making major purchases in the next twelve months (-8 from -7); and savings propensity (56 from 58).

The consumer confidence indicator in Sweden dropped to 94.0 in August 2019 from a downwardly revised 96.5 in the previous month, as households' expectations of the Swedish economy became more pessimistic.

The consumer sentiment indicator in Sweden rose to 97.7 in July 2019, the highest since last October, from an upwardly revised 94.1 in the previous month, as confidence in the economy rose for the second consecutive month and household's views of its financial situation improved.

Swedish Consumer Morale Improves in June
The consumer confidence index in Sweden rose 3.1 points from a month earlier to 93.8 in June 2019, still missing market expectations of 95.2. Households' sentiment regarding their own finances improved, together with the attitude towards capital goods purchases at the moment. On the other hand, the view of the Swedish economy contributed to the downside.Consumer Confidence in Sweden increased to 93.80 Index Points in June from 91 Index Points in May of 2019.
