Croatia Inflation Rate Edges Up to 0.7% in November
Annual inflation rate in Croatia increased to 0.7 percent in November 2019 from 0.6 percent in the previous month. Main upward pressure came from prices of food & non-alcoholic beverages (0.4 percent vs 0.1 percent in October) and clothing & footwear (1.2 percent vs 1.1 percent). In contrast, cost slowed mostly for housing & utilities (1.8 percent vs 2.5 percent); miscellaneous goods & services (0.9 percent vs 1.2 percent) and restaurants & hotels (3 percent vs 3.2 percent). Also, prices fell for transport (-0.9 percent vs -2.6 percent) and recreation & culture (-0.8 percent, the same pace as in the previous month). On a monthly basis, consumer prices went down 0.1 percent, after increasing 0.4 percent in the prior month.

Croatia Inflation Rate Lowest in 4 Months
Consumer prices in Croatia went up 0.6 percent year-on-year in October of 2019, following a 0.8 percent rise in each of the previous two months. It is the lowest inflation rate in four months amid a slowdown in cost of food & non-alcoholic beverages (0.1 percent vs 0.5 percent in September); housing & utilities (2.5 percent vs 3.2 percent) and clothing & footwear (1.1 percent vs 3.5 percent). Also, prices fell for transport (-2.6 percent vs -3.1 percent) and recreation & culture (-0.8 percent vs -0.7 percent). On the other hand, inflation went up for restaurants & hotels (3.2 percent vs 2.6 percent) and miscellaneous goods & services (1.2 percent vs 0.2 percent). On a monthly basis, consumer prices inched up 0.4 percent, after rising 0.8 percent in the previous month.

Annual inflation rate in Croatia stood at 0.8 percent in September 2019, unchanged from the previous month. Prices slowed mainly for housing & utilities (3.2 percent vs 3.8 percent in August) and restaurants & hotels (2.6 percent vs 2.9 percent) while declined for transport (-3.1 percent vs -1.6 percent) and recreation & culture (-0.7 percent vs 2 percent). In contrast, cost advanced faster for food & non-alcoholic beverages (0.5 percent vs 0.3 percent) and it rebounded for miscellaneous goods & services (0.2 percent vs -0.6 percent) and clothing & footwear (3.5 percent v s-1.6 percent). On a monthly basis, consumer prices inched up 0.8 percent, after decreasing 0.3 percent in the preceding month.

Croatia Annual Inflation Rate Eases to 0.8% in August
Annual inflation rate in Croatia fell to 0.8 percent in August 2019 from 1.1 percent in July. Prices slowed for housing & utilities (3.8 percent vs 3.9 percent in July); recreation & culture (2 percent vs 2.3 percent); alcoholic beverages & tobacco (4.7 percent vs 5 percent); furniture & household goods (0.1 percent vs 1 percent); and restaurant & hotels (2.9 percent vs 3.3 percent). Also, cost declined further for transport (-1.6 percent vs -1.1 percent); and miscellaneous goods & services (-0.6 percent vs -0.2 percent); and dropped for clothing & footwear (-1.6 percent vs 0.4 percent). Meanwhile, prices decreased less for communication (-0.1 percent vs -0.3 percent) and continued to fall for health (at -1.1 percent). In addition, inflation was steady for food & non-alcoholic beverages (at 0.3 percent) and prices of education advanced at a faster pace (1.2 percent vs 1.1 percent). On a monthly basis, consumer prices went down 0.3 percent, after a 0.5 percent fall in July.

Croatia Inflation Rate Picks Up to 8-Month High of 1.1%
Annual inflation rate in Croatia rose to 1.1% in July of 2019 from 0.6% in the previous month. It was the highest inflation rate since November of 2018, as cost advanced further for recreation & culture (2.3% from 1.4% in June); alcoholic beverages & tobacco (5% from 4.9%); furniture & household goods (1% from 0.1%); restaurant & hotels (3.3% from 3.2%) and education (1.1% from 1%). In addition, prices rebounded for food & non-alcoholic beverages (0.3% from -0.3%) and clothing & footwear (0.4% from -2.1%). Meantime, inflation was steady for housing & utilities (at 3.9%) while cost fell for transport (-1.1% from -1.4%); miscellaneous goods & services (-0.2% from 0.1%); communication (-0.3% from -0.4%) and health (-1.1% from -1.2%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices went down 0.5%, following a 0.3% drop in June.

Annual inflation rate in Croatia went down to 0.6 percent in June 2019 from 0.9 percent in the previous month. It was the lowest inflation since February, as prices slowed for housing & utilities (3.9 percent vs 4.1 percent in May); miscellaneous goods & services (0.1 percent vs 0.4 percent); restaurants & hotels (3.2 percent vs 3.4 percent) and furniture & household equipment (0.1 percent vs 0.9 percent) while transport cost dropped (-1.4 percent vs 1.8 percent). On the other hand, prices declined less for food & non-alcoholic beverages (-0.3 percent vs -0.7 percent); clothing & footwear (-2.1 percent vs -2.2 percent) and communication (-0.4 percent vs -1.5 percent) while cost advanced faster for recreation & culture (1.4 percent vs 1.3 percent) and alcoholic beverages & tobacco (4.9 percent vs 4.6 percent). On a monthly basis, consumer prices fell 0.3 percent, after a 0.6 percent rise in May.
